Dassault Mirage III

How to spot it

Most are tailless deltas with a single tall fin and half-moon intakes on the fuselage sides; the F1 instead has a swept high wing and tailplane.

Often confused with

Dassault Mirage 2000

The Mirage 2000 has curved intake shoulders, fly-by-wire strakes and a bigger fin; the Mirage III has half-cone intakes.
